Glasgow Health Board Drugs Policy

Brother was up at his doctor/counseller this morning who would happily have written him a prescription for methadone again... one of the most addictive and strongest substances known to man.

He told her he was on day 15 of a detox with nothing and asked simply for a 2 week valium course (its costing just over £10 a day to buy them on the black market).

And they refused.

WTF?

Theyll give him a rolls royce but not a mini cooper? Valium arent even that strong or addictive especially over such a short period. He will start to feel better by next week (told ya meth was worse then heroin, it took me about 10 days to get back to being able to function).

Thats just stupid. Do they get paid for writing scripts out for that stuff or what? Must be a commision basis somewhere, for every 'addict' on their books they get a bigger budget.

Well hes on day 15 with 21 as a target to start feeling better so we'll struggle through ourselves and keep buying the fakes.

Am stunned at the policy though.

He was in bits when he came back in at 10am and said he had been sooo tempted to go up to a local dealer and swap his mobile for a bag.

Nuts to Glasgow Health Board. And a middle finger to ya. From each of us.
